Today we are going to learn vocabulary to deal with the different aspects of traveling

Learn more vocabulary by finding synonyms

A synonym is a word that means the same thing as another word. If you replace a word in a sentence with its synonym, the meaning of the sentence won’t really change that much.

Read the itinerary with a partner

The itinerary describes Jessica’s plans in Costa Rica

  • Day 1 – Arrival in San José

    Arrive in San José and visit the ICE headquarters. I’ll get an overview of Costa Rica’s impressive renewable energy strategy and meet with local experts.

  • Day 2 – Hydropower in Arenal

    Head to the Arenal region to explore the Arenal Hydroelectric Plant. I plan to tour the dam and learn more about how water is converted into electricity .

  • Day 3 – Geothermal Visit in Guanacaste

    Visit the Miravalles Geothermal Plant. I’m especially interested in how they harness geothermal steam for clean electricity.

  • Day 4 – Wind Energy in Tilarán

    Spend the day in Tilarán, touring wind farms. I’ll observe turbine operation and discuss integration challenges with local engineers.

  • Day 5 – Solar Projects & Community Energy

    Explore solar installations in rural Guanacaste, including small-scale solar projects. I’m particularly excited to see Juanilama Solar Park.

  • Day 6 – Cloud Forest Adventure

    After a week of site visits, I’ll head to Monteverde to unwind. Planning to enjoy the cloud forest, maybe try zip-lining or a coffee tour.

  • Day 7 – Beach Day Before Departure

    Wrap up the trip with a relaxing day in Tamarindo. I’ll enjoy the Pacific coast, maybe surf or just relax on the beach before flying back home.
