Cyber Security Specialist

My name is Linda

As you probably know, I am a cyber security specialist, I am a freelancer so I don’t really have a boss or anything like that.

Last Tuesday, I finished preparing videos for my cyber security YouTube channel.

Then I took some time to rest, prepare pasta for dinner and watch Breaking Bad on Netflix.

At 10, When I was about to go to sleep, I got an emergency call from a dude called Ryan

Ryan needed help with 3 websites. He was using a free version of the CyberPanel Hosting Control Panel and a hacker stole his credentials and defaced all 3 of his websites.

These were not his personal websites, these were 3 big websites from clients so I think he crapped his pants when he found out all the sites had been hacked by a serious hacker and not a 12 -year-old kid from South Korea.

Not only his websites had been defaced, the hacker inserted scripts everywhere, injected all sorts of nasty images in the content , f*cked up the database real bad and deleted the server backups

Fortunately he had off-site backups so I told him to screw Cyber Panel and move to a more secure hosting environment.

I created a Cloudways account for him, I restored his 3 sites, it took me like 4 hours to do all that.

I also created a firewall for each one of the sites to prevent more attacks and monitor the traffic

I charged him $300 for the whole thing. Not too shabby for a four-hour gig.

I went to bed at 4 am in the morning. My cat was waiting for me.

I woke up around 1PM next day
