Do you know the difference between using “because” and “because of”?

Use “because” when explaining a reason that has a subject + verb.

  • I will stay home because I am tired.

Use “because of” when explaining a reason with a noun phrase or gerund.

  • I will stay home because of the rain

Simple Future

Write “because” or “because of” to complete the sentences

1. I won't go to the party I have a lot of work.

2. They won't play football it’s raining.

3. She won't attend the meeting her busy schedule.

4. He won't finish the project today technical issues.

5. I won't join the gym it's too expensive.

6. She won't drive to work the traffic jam.

7. They won't participate in the event they are traveling.

8. He won't cook dinner tonight the power outage.

9. She won't visit her friend a prior commitment.

10. I won't study tonight I'm too tired.
