Bangladesh is a relatively small country located in South Asia.
Bengali is the state language of Bangladesh and is spoken by about 98% of the population.
Bangladesh has a significant population, making it the eighth-most populous country in the world. Bangladesh’s estimated population is approximately 174.7 million.
The median age is approximately 28 years. About 26% of the population is aged 14 or younger, while 6% are 65 years or older.
Bangladesh has one of the largest populations of tobacco users in the world, 35.3 percent adults consuming tobacco products
Islam is the state religion, practiced by approximately 91.1% of the population. Hinduism is the second-largest religion, followed by about 7.95% of the people. Other religions, including Buddhism and Christianity, are practiced by smaller segments of the population.
Bangladesh gained its independence in 1971 after a liberation war with Pakistan.
The country has since made significant progress in various sectors, including education, healthcare, and economic development. However, it still faces challenges such as poverty, overpopulation, and political instability.
