Lesson: Formal and Informal Emails

During this lesson, you will learn about the parts of an email and the vocabulary necessary to write formal and informal emails.

Before we start, let’s discuss with our classmates our preferences related to formal emails and informal emails.

Check this vocabulary:

  1. Sender’s Information: Name and Email address
  2. Recipient’s Information: Name and Email address
  3. Subject Line: A concise and informative line summarizing the email content.
  4. Greeting: Greeting to address the recipient.
  5. Body: Main content of the email
  6. Closing: Polite closing remarks, such as “Sincerely,” “Best regards,” etc.
  7. Signature: Additional contact details, job title, or other relevant information about the sender.
  8. Attachments: Files or documents attached to the email, if any.
