What’s a Webquest?

A WebQuest is an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from theweb.These can be created using various programs, including a simple word processing document that includes links to websites.


Structure

A WebQuest has 5 essential parts: introduction, task, process, resources, evaluation, and conclusion. The original paper on WebQuests had a component called guidance instead of evaluation.

The Introduction orients students and captures their interest.
The Task describes the activity’s end product.
The Process explains strategies students should use to complete the task.
The Resources are the Web sites students will use to complete the task.
The Evaluation measures the results of the activity.
The Conclusion sums up the activity and encourages students to reflect on its process and results.

  3. Aula 21 is a tool that will help you create a webquest. You just have to add the required information.
  4. Quest Garden: You can easily create a webquest for free during a free trial period then a subscription will be necessary to edit, export and make your webquests available to others.
